End-to-End Onboarding Workflow

This is the master process. A new employee moves from pre-hire clearance to active employee only after all required controls are complete.

Professional control point: Do not mark an employee “Cleared for First Assignment” until background clearance, sworn disclosure, health/TB screening, orientation, acknowledgments, job description, scope limits, EVV/documentation training, and competency review are complete.

  • Do not show all forms as the first experience for a new employee.
  • Show the current step and next required action.
  • Restricted background documents should say “Handled by Administrator.”
  • Final orientation copy should unlock only after required signatures are complete.
  • Use “Needs Correction” when the Administrator returns a form.
  • After approval, store the signed record in the correct file location.
